우리가 이해 못하는 것이 너무많아요"
So I told them of Moses,
And Father Abraham,
그래서 전 그들에게 모세와
아브라함에 대해 말해줬습니다.
And I said dear children,
"Watch the lamb....
There will be so many,
In Jerusalem today,
We must be sure this little lamb,
Doesn't run away,"
그리고 또 나는 아이들에게 말했죠
양을 보고있으렴
오늘 예수살렘에는 (양이)
정말 많을꺼야
우리는 이 양이 도망가지 않도록
양을 보고 있어야 한단다.
And I told them of Moses,
And Father Abraham,
And I said "Dear children,
Watch the lamb...."
그래서 전 그들에게 모세와
아브라함에 대해 말해줬습니다.
그리고 말했죠
"얘들아..양을 잘 보렴.."
When we reached the city,
I knew something must be wrong,
There were no joyful worshippers there,
No joyful worship songs,
우리가 도착했을 때
나는 무언가가 잘못됬다는 것을 알았습니다
그곳에는 즐거움의 찬 예배자가 없었고
즐거움의 찬송도 없었습니다
And I stood there,
With my children,
In the midst of angry men,
Then I heard a crowd cry out,
나는 그곳에 아이들과 서있었습니다
성난 사람들 한가운데서
사람들이 외치는 말을 들었습니다
"Let's Crucify Him!"
"저 사람을 십자가에 못 박자!!"
We tried to leave the city,
But we could not get away,
Forced to play in this drama,
A part i did not want to play,
우리는 도시를 떠나려했습니다
그러나 우리는 떠나지 못했습니다
이 상황에 역활을 맞게 됐습니다..
내가 맞고 싶지 않았던 역활을 말이죠..
Why upon this day were men condemned to die,
Why were we standing right here,
Where soon they would pass by,
왜 이런 날에 사람들이 사형판결을 내린걸까
왜 우리는 여기 서있는 걸까
저 사람들은 곧 어디로 갈까
I looked and I said,
"Even now they come,"
The first one cried for mercy,
The people gave him none,
나는 말했습니다.
"그들이 온다"
처음에 오던 자는 자비를 요구했습니다.
그러나 사람들은 주지 않았죠
The second one was violent,
He was arrogant and loud,
I can still hear his angry voice,
Screaming at the crowd,
두번째 사람은 난폭했습니다.
그는 거만하고 씨끄러웠습니다
여전히 그의 목소리가 들리는 것 같습니다.
관중들에게 소리를 지든건 그의 목소리요
Then someone said,
"There's Jesus,"
I scarce believed my eyes,
갑자기 어떤 사람이 말했습니다.
"저기 예수가 온다"
나는 내 눈을 믿을 수가 없었습니다.
A man so badly beaten,
He barely looked alive,
심하게 상처를 입고
살아있는게 신기해 보이는 사람이 보였습니다.
Blood poured from His body,
From the thorns on His brow,
Running down the cross,
And falling to the ground,
그의 몸에선 피가 나왔고
가시때문에 그의 이마에서도 피나 흘렀습니다.
십자가를 타고
땅에 떨어졌습니다.
I watched as He struggled,
And I watched Him when He fell,
The cross came down upon His back,
그가 힘들어하는 것을 저는 보고있었습니다.
그가 넘어질떄 저는 그를 보고있었습니다.
십자가가 그의 등에서 떨어지는 것을 보았습니다.
And the crowd began to yell,
In that moment I felt such agony,
In that moment I felt such loss,
관중들이 소리치기 시작했습니다.
그 순간 전 심한 고뇌를 겪었습니다.
그 순간 전 심한 상실감을 느꼇습니다.
Till the roman soldier grabbed my arm and screamed,
"YOU! Carry his cro-----------ss!"
로마 병사가 제 팔을 잡고 소리쳤습니다.
"당신! 이 사람의 십자가를 옮기게!!"
At first I tried to resist him,
But his hand reached for his sword,
So I knelt and I took
The cross from the Lord
처음에 저는 거부하려했습니다.
그러나 그의 손이 그의 칼로 갔습니다.
그래서 전 무릎을 끌고
예수로부터 십자가를 건네 받았습니다.
I put it on my shoulders
We started down the street
And the blood that He'd been shedding,
Was running down my cheeck...
나는 그것을 내 어깨에 올려놓고
길을 걷기 시작했습니다.
그가 흘린 피가
제 볼에 흘러 내렸습니다.
They led us to Golgatha
They drove nails,
Deep in His feet and hands,
And on the cross,

I heard him pray,

서있었습니다.
나는 시간 개념을 잃어버렸습니다.
그리고 전 조금한 손이 제 손을 잡고 있는 것을
느꼇습니다.
My children stood there weeping,
And I heard the oldest say
"Father please forgive us,
The lamb,
Ran away...
내 아이들은 서서 훌쩍거리고있었습니다.
그중 나이가 많은 녀석이 말했습니다.
"아버지..우리를 용서해주세요..
양이 도망가버렸어요.."

What've we seen here,

So I took them in my arms,
We turned and faced the cross
